Post-MBA Mission to China 2026

June 21, 2026 · 08:00– June 29, 2026
Shanghai, China

We are pleased to share information about the upcoming Mission to China 2026.

This initiative is organized with the involvement of Professor Prosper Bernard, a highly experienced academic and international business educator with long-standing expertise in China.

Dr. Prosper Bernard is a professor at ESG-UQAM, the Business School of the Université du Québec à Montréal, where he previously served as Vice-Rector. He is also Chairman of the Board of the University Consortium of the Americas in the USA and an advisor to the International American University in California. He is both a Canadian and an American citizen and has lectured in the United States as well as in many countries across Latin America.

Dr. Bernard began travelling to China in 1983 and now visits the country six times each year, where he manages advanced executive education and business programs, including cooperation with China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT) and the UQAM MBA. He has published numerous books and articles on China and in China. For the past 30 years, he has been training executives on how to do business in China through international missions, as he has done in other parts of the world.

His mission is not only to educate MBA participants about business in China, but also to help create lasting relationships — guānxì (关系) — among Executive MBA participants from China, Canada, the USA, Europe, and Latin America, while strengthening mutual understanding between China and North America.

As Professor Bernard notes: "By 2030, or no later than 2039, China will be the world's largest economy. China is the second-largest trading partner for Canada and Quebec. It's important to know China for your business and for your clients."

This initiative is open to MBA participants, alumni, and other interested individuals. Business alumni and other participants are warmly welcome.

Participants will receive a certificate of participation from our partner in China: China University of Mining and Technology (CUMT)
